About the idea - A Gift
What can we give to the next generation, the previous generation, each other, the planet, ourselves? A Gift is about finding ways to step across the boundaries that divide us. Thinking about being with each other as a generous process of giving and receiving. If we were to offer someone our time and effort as a gift, what would that look like? What would that feel like? Can we give ourselves and each other the gift of listening, the gift of seeing, the gift of acknowledgment? Let’s make something, a dance, a film, a story and gift it to the audience and to our fellow performers. This is a unique multigenerational work that looks at our place within the big picture of now. Each age group will explore the idea of giving from their own unique perspective and together we will make a gift for our local community.

Costs
Each workshop will be priced according to its particular needs and costs. You will find prices in the FB events, Workshops, Dance Loops & Performance Project pages of this website. Dance ARC will be run as a socially responsible organisation into the future. This means that we acknowledge the right of artists to be paid appropriately for their work while also aiming to deliver programs at an affordable cost to participants. As such we are NOT FOR PROFIT. If a particular program run by Dance ARC does happen to make a profit; 50% of that will go to charity & 50% will be put towards reducing the costs of future programs for participants. At Dance ARC we believe that dance and artistic expression is a vital part of being human and so we aim to make it as accessible as possible.
